Current Specification - Version 1.0.0

MultiCellDS is a data specification for multicellular experimental, clinical, and simulation data. We have been developing this specification since 2007 (formerly as MultiCellXML — see our project history). It is maintained by the Core Team, with advice by the invited reivew panel and the general public. As MultiCellDS matures and enters wider use, we will transition MultiCellDS to a standard with voting procedures. See COMBINE for more thoughts on standards governance.

The MultiCellDS specification is officially recorded as an XML schema with embedded schematron rules.
